Which is honestly a lot of coin for a special edition non Shelby Mustang. True to its heritage though, you can only get the Bullitt on the GT. No Ecoboost here. V8 only. There are only 2 color options: Shadow Black and Dark Highland Green. I choose the classic Bullitt green because honestly, I don’ t know if its the pic on the internet or what, but the Black looks cheap and doesn’ t do it justice on this model:
The Bullitt comes loaded perfomance wise it has:
330 mm (13") rear brake rotors with single-piston calipers
Red Painted Brembo™ Brake Calipers
Electronic Line-Lock (track use only)
Independent Rear Suspension
Launch control (requires manual transmission; track use only)
Selectable Drive Modes
Selectable-effort Electric Power-Assist Steering (EPAS)
Unique stability control, EPAS and ABS tuning
Monotube shocks, grippy bars and rear cross-axis suspension joints
Vented Four-wheel disc brakes
3.73 TORSEN® limited-slip rear axle
5.0L Ti-VCT V8
Active Valve Performance Exhaust System with Quad Tips
Engine oil cooler
6-Speed Manual Transmission with Rev Matching
19" Torque Thrust Design Machined-face Aluminum with High-gloss Black-painted Pockets
Surprisingly it also comes standard with the GT performance package .There are no other color options or stripe options. There’ s only one transmission option, a proper 6 speed manual with rev matching and old school white ball shifter.
Interior options packages wise, there is only one main one: the Bullitt Electronics package. For $2100 it comes with:
BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert (CTA)
• B&O Play™ Premium Audio System by HARMAN (12 Speakers) includes CD Player, HD Radio™ and Subwoofer in trunk
• Memory: Driver Seat (three (3) settings), Mirrors, and Ambient Lighting
• Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link®
Pretty good, but not $2,100 worth of options to me. I added it nonetheless. What doesn’ t make sense about this though is that Ford has the BLIS system listed as its own individual option, but choosing it only tells you that you need to add the Bullitt Package . So why make it seem like it an be chosen alone? Dumb.
There are no exterior options either. It comes standard with the Active Valve Performance exhaust, spoiler delete and the old school style mag like Black wheels. The only main exterior option is the MagnaRide adaptable suspension for $1695. I added that as well.
Of n on package interior options there are only a couple. There are some Black Recaro sport seats with Bullitt green Reca or embroidered in them for $1595. I added these. There’ s also the option of a 6 way power drivers seat. But adding that removes the Bullitt electronics package and the Recaro seats, so I didn’ t add this. The same thing happens if you try to add the heated/cooled seats and the Memory Drivers seat, which for some reason is combined with ambient interior lighting.
All in, you’re looking at $52,980 for fully loaded Bullitt. Or $900 a month with 10% down at a normal 60 month term and 5% apr. Or $5,255 off a no options GT350. I’m waiting to see if there are that many takers for something that doesnt make much sense when you look closer at the numbers. For that same 10% down and 5% apr for 60 months, the GT350 is but a $90 difference in monthly payment. Its cool, but not that cool next to the Shelby.

I like it, but its definitely knocking on the door of M2 pricing.

Electronic Line-Lock (track use only)
Yes of course, track use only.
with Rev Matching
Can it be shut off? I think I remember that it couldn’t be shut off on the M2, that would drive me nuts. There’s nothing better than perfectly nailing a rev-matched downshift.

Starts at $47,590 and goes till $52,980 but the real question is how much the “Market Adjustment/ADM” crap is going to add to this thing.

Knocking? Its already pretty much opened the door and is attempting to come in. I see the next gen Mustang already competing with it price wise. Thats insane.

I dont think it can. I know the one on the 370Z cant be shut off. But I assume its the same. They assume people want to use tech instead of good ole fashioned human-vehicle interaction.

Wow and a 2013 Boss 302 cost 45000.
It'd be worth it if it was 500 lbs lighter.

Right. Im going to do some checking later today on that too. But I’m assuming we are going to see $60k Bullitt’s with ADM’s. Thats sick.

Yea but it doesnt help that they tried to combine the performance and luxury features. I’d still spring for a baste GT.

I still despise the red calipers on a green car.

Right. Black or Yellow would have sufficed. But with performance brakes, red has almost become more like the color to let people know that “I can stop better than you”.
